As a queer, black woman, I understand the importance of celebrating your journey. I root for all things women, LGBTIA+, and people of color. Because if we don't celebrate ourselves and create our narrative, who will?
Like you, I know what it feels like to focus on the day-to-day, letting occasions worth celebrating pass me by. And I also know what it feels like to come up for air, celebrate, and be celebrated. Trust me, the latter is much better! Pivotal moments will happen - don't let them pass you by.
Sessions are held at my studio, near the legendary Black Broadway - located off U St NW near the legendary Bohemian Caverns.

Over the last seven years, I've photographed many milestone events in all facets of life. Celebrating our lives and reflecting on them as much as it is for our family and future generations is important.
Some of my most treasured heirlooms are family pictures and albums going back 4 generations. My nana's wedding picture, my mom's childhood pictures. Pictures of my dad in grade school and my grandparents on their tobacco farm in North Carolina. My great-grandparents in their Sunday's best. This is important. It represents where I've been and where I'm going.
Imagery is among the oldest and most valued forms of storytelling, representation, and legacy-driven art forms. You deserve to see your authentic self on a wall in your home. Your family and friends deserve to see you in your most beautiful light.
