Are you a soon-to-be mom looking to capture memories of your pregnancy in a beautiful way? Maternity pictures are the perfect way to do just that! But with so many things to consider, you may be wondering when is the best time for your maternity session? Don’t worry, I’m here to walk you through it!
The best time to get them done is between 28 and 36 weeks of your pregnancy. At this stage your bump will be fully showing, nicely round and you won’t be feeling too uncomfortable. Most of my mamas have enjoyed a burst of energy during this stage. We make sure to keep our mamas who are a little energy depraved hydrated and moving at their comfortable pace.
The best time for your maternity session is between 26 and 32 weeks. You may be surprised to hear it, but it’s possible you’ll begin to show earlier than you expect. That’s why we recommend scheduling your just little earlier to make sure you don’t miss out on this special moment. Trust us – you’ll be so glad you did!
Take it from someone who has lots of twins in her family, you can expect to show and deliver earlier. At 6 months, your belly may look nine months along. Mamas are often put on bed rest, have scheduled or unscheduled early deliveries. The best time for photos with twins is between 24 and 28 weeks.
But if you’re having triplets, you should get pictures even earlier – aim for between 20 and 24 weeks. No matter how many babies you’re growing in that beautiful body of yours, I want you to know this – you’re incredible and strong! Listen to the advice from the doctors, take lots of rest, try to enjoy the journey. I believe in you!
Scheduling your maternity photos earlier than 24-25 weeks may seem like a good idea. However, keep in mind that your bump won’t be as defined for that full maternity look that we’re going for.
But don’t worry! If you still need to schedule earlier than 26-28 weeks, don’t stress – there are some posing tricks that you can use to make that bump pop! Don’t let this small downside keep you from celebrating this unique milestone.
If maternity photos haven’t yet made it to the top of your “getting ready for baby” list, that’s totally understandable. Even if you are already in your third trimester, don’t worry – if you’re feeling good, enough energy, and up to the idea of taking some photographs, then I’d love to be there to capture this special moment in your journey!
A risk of waiting too long is that you might struggle with feeling tired and uncomfortable during the session; and that’s the last thing either of us would want. We’d also hate for you to go into labor before we’ve had the chance to take these photos. This happened on more than a few occasions. Fortunately, mom and baby have always been healthy; baby just chose to come early.
I’m so excited to help you capture one of the most special times of your life – your maternity session. Let’s chat about when you’re due and your vision.
Schedule a call today and let’s create beautiful memories together! Don’t miss out on this precious, once in a lifetime milestone – I’m here for you and ready when you are. Let’s make it happen!
